FAQ's About Wedding Packages
How long have you been in business and how many weddings have you photographed?
I have been a part of close to 350 weddings in my career since first starting out fifteen years ago. I shot my first wedding in 2005 right out of high school. I would say I have been shooting as a professional for fourteen years. I was formally trained in film and received my degree in photography from Oklahoma State University and have been self-employed, full time solely in photography for nine years. I have been doing Wedding Photography for quite some time but am new to the Rio Grande Valley as of Dec.2020. I can not wait to explore and get to know all the people of the Valley!
What happens if you get sick on my day?
I have photographed many weddings in the past 16 years and have never missed one yet *knock on wood*. I do have a plan just in case. I've built up a network of close friends that are also professional photographers and know that they would be happy to step in and take care of you. I also have a back-up plan that family members can follow in case something tragic were to happen to me. If I get sick, I still work as most professionals do.
Have you photographed at XYZ venue before?
There are hundreds of venues just in the Rio Grande Valley area, let alone nationwide (and internationally) and if I haven't photographed there, I would be happy to do a site visit with your planner/you before the day arrives. Usually, this is not necessary because I adapt well to new environments and always come fully prepared for any situation. I always speak to the officiant before the ceremony because many ceremony venues have restrictions on flash, in which case, I work with the ambient lighting provided. If this is the case I can help you with how to light your sites.
How long before I can see my images and how many will I receive?
Always within 4-8 weeks. With a typical wedding, I will deliver between 700-3000 edited images.
If I need to cancel or move my wedding date, is the retainer refundable?
The retainers are non-refundable. If you are moving dates and would like to re-book me, a fee will be required, if I'm available for that date. The full policy is included in the wedding agreement, which you can review before signing.
Why are you worth the amount you charge?
I try to give each couple the time and attention they deserve. On the wedding day, the second shooter and I are with you most of the day we try to be a resource to make the day go as smoothly as possible. I also try to build a relationship with my couple so that they are more relaxed in front of the camera and are more likely to show genuine emotions. You can easily add an engagement session to your wedding photography package for the Rio Grande Valley Area. This way I get to see how you work and you get to see how I work. I also edit the photos myself, so I have full control over the final product I deliver to you and know what is important to you. I have my degree in photography and am a Certification Professional Photographer.
